Llama, Llama Mad at Mama by Anna Dewdney

50 430x book of week Llama, Llama Mad at Mama by Anna Dewdney

Now, this is a book I can relate to, and I love it. Do your kids get ill when you tell them it is time to go shopping? Well, I can honestly say, shopping surely is not at the top of my little one’s list of favorites.

Llama Llama Mad at Mama is all about a little llama that doesn’t want to go shopping when her mama says they have to go. Then she pitches a huge, and messy, fit in the store. Sound familiar? Well, Llama has to learn that even Mama doesn’t like to go sometimes, but it is a necessary part of life.

This book is just wonderful because it helps children understand that sometimes we have to do things we don’t really enjoy, and we just have to suck it up and make the best of it. You and your children are going to love this one.

Tiny Tidbits: Dewdney illustrates her own books, and when people ask her how she comes up with the faces, she tells them they are self portraits. (Resource: Anna Dewdney Website)
