Sunday Devotion: God Hears You
“For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer.” 1 Peter 3:12
Do you sometimes feel that no matter how hard you pray, God doesn’t hear your voice? Well, you’re not alone. We all feel that way from time to time.
The truth, however, is that He does hear every prayer, no matter how big or small it seems. Because of His love for us, God always has our best interest in mind, even when it doesn’t appear that way to us. He sees the big picture and knows exactly what we need and when we need it.
Hebrews 13:5 says, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”
In this verse, God is reassuring us that He is always listening to us, watching over us, and taking care of us.
Therefore, He always answers our prayers. Though, sometimes his answer is yes, sometimes it’s no, and sometimes it’s to wait. We may not always understand why he chooses to answer the way that he does. The good thing is that it’s not our responsibility to know why.
God knows we don’t understand his answers sometimes. For those times, he provides comfort and peace to us through the Holy Spirit. Our job, though not easy at times, is to accept his decisions by trusting in Him.
Prayer Time: Ask God to help you trust Him even when you don’t feel you have answers to your prayers, or don’t understand the answers to your prayers.

This was a beautiful post. I was reading my devotional book and writing in my prayer journal, while waiting for my computer to start up. We are waiting to leave for church and I now feel even more inspired.
Thanks for the reminders…I needed them today. May God bless you abundantly for being such a wonderful and genuine encourager.
