Home Again, Home Again, Jiggety-Jig
That’s what my grandmother use to say when we had been gone somewhere and finally made it back to the house. Well, I’m so glad to be back home from our trip to Las Vegas.
Yes, we had a nice time, even though we really didn’t do a whole lot, but I’m so thankful for the fresh air and nice scenery here at home. In other words, I’m happy to be away from cigarette smoke filled casinos and…how should I say this…inappropriate billboards. I’ll just leave it at that.
Don’t think I’m complaining, because, like I said, we enjoyed the trip. I did get to sit back and relax in the hotel while my hubby was in class. Then we got to do a few things in the evenings.
One of my favorites was visiting the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. It was a lot fun. If you don’t know, the museum has incredibly realistic wax figures of famous people. You can even touch them and take photos with them.
Some of the pictures didn’t turn out very well because the museum was kind of dark, but here is a good one of me and Johnny Depp. Isn’t it cool how real he looks?
To be completely honest, I was a little freaked out to start with because the figures seemed so real. It felt weird to go over and just stand or sit down right by them or touch them.
Of course, we walked the Las Vegas strip and went through the casinos. I’ve never seen anything quite like them before. They were interesting to say the least.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see any of the shows, but we did get to see a movie and do a little bowling in the hotel where we were staying.
And you know we couldn’t leave Vegas without getting our picture made in front of the famous Las Vegas sign.
All in all, I think we had a good time. Now to re-adjust back into a normal routine and unspoil some kids that were with their grandparents all last week.
No, they’re not really too spoiled.
There’s no place like home!

I wasn’t sure how to spell it either, so I did a search to try to make sure I spelled it right. I mean, it’s not like it’s in the dictionary.
